The program
Three parts, then questions.
The hour follows a debate the way you meet it: finding your arguments, building them, then answering the other side.
- 1
Thinking of Arguments
Where a case starts: how to find the ideas in a topic that are worth arguing, before you worry about how to say them.
- 2
Making Arguments
Turning an idea into an argument that holds — the reasoning, the evidence behind it, and why it matters to the debate you're in.
- 3
Responding to Arguments
What to do once the other side has spoken: finding the point the debate actually turns on, and answering it while the clock runs.
Questions
Time at the end to ask Jehiel whatever you want about debating, competitions, or getting better at it.
